 25-04-2003: Palmierii din Mamaia - la tratament

Desi in luna aprilie Primaria Constanta si Ministerul Turismului au anuntat ca palmierii din Mamaia au trecut cu bine peste sezonul rece, 24 din cei 146 de palmieri nu au rezistat temperaturilor scazute din aceasta iarna. Acestia au fost scosi din pamant si dusi intr-o sera speciala, unde vor fi supusi unui tratament de deparazitare, urmat de o cura cu biostimulatori. Tratamentul va dura trei saptamani, dupa care palmierii vor fi replantati in vechile lacasuri, amenajate cu instalatii luminoase. Preventiv, Primaria a declarat ca va cumpara alti palmieri, "in caz ca primii vor muri".
Investitia a costat, anul trecut, 115.000 de dolari si reprezinta 146 palmieri de tip Chamaerops si Washingtonia, adusi din Grecia. Arborii au costat intre 200 si 800 de dolari bucata. |
