 10-05-2003: Colaborare regionala pentru promovarea turismului

In perioada 5-6 mai a avut loc in Grecia reuniunea ministrilor si a inaltilor functionari din turismul european, ocazie cu care ministrul Turismului, Dan Matei Agathon si omologii sai din Grecia, Bulgaria si Ungaria au decis promovarea in comun a potentialului turistic al celor 4 tari pe piata internationala. Discutiile purtate au avut ca scop identificarea posibilitatilor de cooperare regionala, dar si efectuarea unui schimb de experienta, indeosebi pe probleme de promovare comuna pe terte piete in vederea accelerarii dezvoltarii industriei turismului in aceasta regiune a Europei. De asemenea, au fost propuse masuri pentru iesirea din criza a unor destinatii turistice care au inregistrat scaderi semnificative ale numarului de turisti, cum ar fi Statele Unite ale Americii, Marea Britanie, Orientul Mijlociu, Turcia, Canada si Asia.
